Ductile Iron Pipe is a kind of pipe made of casting iron above No.18 by adding spheroidizing agent and then centrifugally casting into pipe by centrifugal ductile iron casting machine at high speed. Its full name is “ductile iron pressure pipe”, the main components include carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, magnesium and so on.
The production of ductile iron pipe adopts centrifugal casting process, after heat treatment and coating protection treatment, it has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Its surface is usually coated with a layer of asphalt paint or cement mortar lining to isolate the external acid and alkali substances and protect the pipe.

Features:
High strength: the tensile strength of ductile iron pipe is usually between 400~700 MPa, which is much higher than that of traditional gray cast iron pipe of about 150 MPa.
Good toughness: its elongation rate reaches more than 10%, able to withstand large external impact and deformation.
Strong corrosion resistance: the surface coating can effectively resist corrosion, especially suitable for pipe network construction in underground or humid environments.
Light weight and high strength: compared with traditional steel pipe, ductile iron pipe is lighter in weight, convenient and quick construction, and adaptable to complex terrain conditions.

Application areas
Water supply system: due to its strong pressure-bearing capacity, not easy to leak, corrosion resistance and other advantages, ductile iron pipe is often used in the construction of long-distance water pipeline network, to ensure clean water quality and high-pressure water transmission needs.
Drainage system: In the sewage treatment project, the corrosion resistance of ductile iron pipe enables it to resist the corrosive substances in sewage and prolong its service life.
Gas transmission: its flexible interface design can effectively prevent gas leakage, and the internal and external wall coating further enhances the protective performance of the pipe.
